About StrategyForge Play

How it works

StrategyForge teaches the thinking behind every strategy game — reading the board, planning ahead, and weighing risk. The same idea that wins a chess game wins a game of Connect 4, and shows up in real life too.

  • Tactics Board — read a real Connect 4 or chess position and tap the strongest move: the win, the fork, or the block. A hint unlocks after a first wrong try, and every move explains itself.
  • Tactics Rush — a 90-second speed round where the puzzles climb in difficulty. It builds the fast pattern-sense that spots tactics at a glance. Your best score stays on this device.
  • Capture Cascade — a pure lookahead puzzle: every move must capture, and you win by ending with a single piece. Plan the whole chain before you touch a piece.
  • Strategy Lab — the seven big ideas that win any strategy game, each shown across several games, then a transfer question that asks you to spot the idea somewhere new.
  • Concept kits — 16 short question rounds, from "what is a strategy game?" up to game theory and real-world strategy.

Meet the cast

Foresee, Trade, Read, Bide, and Concede each stand for one part of thinking ahead — from picturing future moves to accepting a loss and learning from it. You can read their stories over on the cast pages.

Our privacy promise

StrategyForge Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device — your level, streak, and best rush score are saved only in this browser.

Losing is part of it

Every strong player loses plenty of games on the way up. A wrong move here never costs you anything — it just points you to the stronger idea next time. That's what Concede is all about.
