Help shape the apps your kids will use
Spark & Anvil's 138-app portfolio is in active development. We're a 501(c)(3) non-profit (pending) and the apps will be free forever. Join our beta program to try apps before App Store launch, give feedback, and help us shape what we build.
Free forever · No marketing emails · One-shot launch notices · COPPA compliant
Apps in beta
Each app moves through six phases: development → closed beta → open TestFlight → submitted → live. Tap any app for status + a CTA matched to that phase.
No apps are in beta yet. The first TestFlight builds are expected in 2026 Q4. Join the newsletter below and we'll email you the moment the first beta opens.

You don't need to be a professional tester. You just need to be willing to try apps with your kid (or yourself, if you're an educator), notice what works, and tell us what doesn't.
- 1. Install TestFlight (free Apple app) from the App Store. Tap our TestFlight link to install the beta build.
- 2. Try the app with your kid for a few sessions. Notice what feels confusing, fun, broken, or surprising.
- 3. Send feedback via the in-app "Send feedback" link (goes directly to our founder) or reply to any beta email. Screenshots welcome; recordings welcome.
- 4. Hear back. We read every report. We'll tell you what we changed in the next beta build. Your name goes in the app's credits (with permission) when it ships.
Cadence: roughly one beta email per app per month, plus a portfolio-wide newsletter every 6 weeks. Drop out anytime.
Frequently asked questions
- How long will beta last?
- Each app's beta runs ~3-6 months on average. Some apps will be in beta longer because we want to get them right. Apps may stay in closed beta for ~2-3 months before opening to public TestFlight.
- Will I get the App Store version too?
- Yes. When an app launches publicly, you can install the App Store version (free) and uninstall the TestFlight build. We'll send a one-shot launch email; no further marketing.
- What's expected of me?
- Nothing required. Try the app when convenient. Send notes when something's broken or noteworthy. We'd rather have honest 2-line reports ("crashed when I tapped X") than feel obliged to write essays.
- Can I drop out?
- Anytime. Uninstall the TestFlight build, or reply STOP to any email. No questions asked.
- Will you contact my child?
- No. We never collect or contact children. All communication is parent-to-parent (or educator-to-developer). The apps themselves run fully on-device — your kid's data never leaves their device.
- Is the beta build safe for my kid?
- Yes. Beta builds have the same COPPA compliance and on-device-AI architecture as the App Store version. The only difference is the build is newer, so it may have bugs we haven't caught yet.
- Will it cost money?
- No. Spark & Anvil apps are free forever. No in-app purchases. No ads. The non-profit pivot makes this durable beyond any single funding cycle.
- What if it crashes or has serious bugs?
- That's exactly what beta is for. Every beta app has an in-app feedback channel that goes directly to our founder. Your reports literally shape what ships.
Spark & Anvil is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (pending). Your beta feedback shapes apps that will reach millions of tween learners.
