Board of Directors
Spark & Anvil's governance board steers the organization's mission, finances, and strategic direction. We're recruiting a 3-5-person founding board through 2026. Interested in serving? board@spark-and-anvil.com.
Founding Board
K-12 educator, school district leader, or learning-sciences researcher to anchor the curriculum-fidelity perspective.
CFO / treasurer with non-profit experience to chair audit + finance committee; understanding of fiscal-sponsorship phase + 1023 process.
Pediatric, developmental psych, or family-systems voice — load-bearing for the trauma-informed + pass-and-play work.
Title-I + multilingual + accessibility lens. Pushes the org to keep the portfolio reaching kids beyond early-adopter households.
Advisory Board
Separately from the governance board, an advisory group provides subject-matter expertise without fiduciary duty. We're recruiting advisors with deep expertise in:
- · COPPA + ed-privacy law (state-level + federal)
- · Foundation funding (former program officers welcome)
- · District procurement + EdTech licensing
- · iOS / Swift / SwiftUI / on-device AI
- · Trauma-informed digital design (SAMHSA / NCTSN voices)
- · Distributed-narrative + learning-sciences research
- · Indigenous knowledge sovereignty + cultural sensitivity review
- · Pediatric SEL + family-cohesion research
Email board@spark-and-anvil.com with interest.
