About MicrobeLab Play

How it works

MicrobeLab makes microbiology something you can explore — and it starts from a friendly idea: most of the tiny lives in and on your body are helpful, not harmful.

  • Immune Match — every microbe wears a surface marker with a shape. Tap the antibody that fits it like a key. Meet the same microbe again and your memory cells recognize it faster — that’s why a second infection is often milder.
  • Immune Response — put your body’s calm, coordinated defense in order: the barrier first, then the fast innate helpers, then the specific antibodies, then memory. Most encounters end peacefully — your immune system is a careful caretaker, not a battlefield.
  • Microbiome Lab — pick a place (gut, mouth, skin, or soil), choose how it’s cared for, and advance the days. You’ll see how what you feed and how you care shapes which microbes thrive — and how a community recovers after antibiotics.
  • Concept kits — short question rounds on microbes, the immune system, and the microbiome.

A gentle, friendly view of microbes

MicrobeLab keeps a calm, no-scare tone on purpose. Microbes are shown as neighbors and helpers, your immune system as a quiet caretaker, and “balance” — not eradication — as the goal. There are no frightening disease scenarios here.

Our privacy promise

MicrobeLab Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device — your level and streak are saved only in this browser.

Mistakes are part of it

You never lose anything for a wrong answer. A wrong guess just points you to the right idea next time — that’s how learning is supposed to work.
