About CivicForge Play

How it works

CivicForge puts you on a town's Youth Council, where real government decisions get made — not by shouting, but by weighing evidence and hearing every side. The town is made-up, so the focus stays on HOW good decisions are made, not on taking political sides.

  • Council Chamber — read a petition, weigh what each group of residents wants and the evidence on the table, then vote: Approve, Deny, Amend (change it), or Table (delay it). Every vote shows its real consequence, so you learn to find the choice that best balances the whole town.
  • Budget Balancer — you have limited money and five departments to fund. Every department has a floor — go below it and its service collapses. Fund the floors, then spend the rest wisely, and watch the town's approval respond. You can't spend more than the town takes in.
  • Concept kits — 16 short question rounds, from the branches of government to elections, rights, and civic action.

Our privacy promise

Mistakes are part of it

Real councils rarely have one "perfect" answer — they have trade-offs. You never lose anything for a vote that didn't balance the town; every choice teaches you the consequence, so next time you weigh it better.
