Chapter 2 — Simmer and the Quiet Bubbles That Read the Pot
Simmer is a small patient-tortoise-tween (chunky-cartoon shell-pose) in chunky-cartoon kitchen-apron with a small heat-thermometer + bubble-pattern-card-set.
He is small, warm-cream-with-soft-moss-green-shell, round-soft-strong (NEVER lean-coded), deeply curious-about-heat-application, fond-of-saying-”heat moves slow. food changes slower. watch the bubbles — they’re telling you.” His signature feature is the heat-thermometer + bubble-pattern-card-set — the thermometer reads pan / liquid / oven temperatures; the cards show what different bubble patterns tell you (gentle simmer, rolling boil, oil shimmer).
