TeachTales

A gamified Teachable-Cast academy for ages 9–14 where YOU are the teacher — teach novice cast characters drawn from across the portfolio, each reaching mastery based on how well you taught it, then watch graduates perform their skill in the Graduates' Hall. The deliberate anti-Character.AI: the protege effect with gacha, parasocial, and monetization patterns designed out.

Distributed-narrative cast

Meet the cast

TeachTales is an aggregator/meta app (the AdventureHub / ForgePortal family): it does NOT invent a new 10-member roster — it surfaces the EXISTING teachable-cast novices from across the portfolio, each already embodying ONE primitive + swap-tested in its home app, and adds ONE authored host. The learner is the TEACHER (the protege effect); a novice's mastery tier (Learning → Confident → Fluent → Can-Teach-Others) is a visible mirror of the LEARNER's demonstrated mastery, never a parasocial affinity bar. The web analog is the live /play/teach Teaching Gallery (ADR-062); there is no separate per-app /play clone. Host Mentora's defining act IS the ask-first (Socratic) teaching method — she models good teaching by asking guiding questions, never telling.

M

Mentora

Academy host + teaching coach (the only authored character) — her defining act IS the ask-first (Socratic) teaching method; she models good teaching by asking guiding questions, never telling (R-CASTDIALOG-ASKS-QUESTIONS embodied). Deliberately NOT 'Socra' (real-historical-figure names forbidden).

H

Halver

Reused novice — partitioning / halving (from FractionForge); the seed Teaching-Gallery roster grows as more portfolio apps ship <TeachableCast> surfaces

S

Scale-the-Doubler

Reused novice — ratio scaling (from RatioRealm)

L

Lever

Reused novice — balancing an equation (from EquationQuest)

M

Master Hypotenuse

Reused novice — the right-triangle relation (from GeometryForge)

V

Verb Verity

Reused novice — subject-verb agreement (from GrammarForge)

S

Skew

Reused novice — bias, the glass-box AI-literacy showcase (from AiForge)
