Privacy & how it works

TaleForge on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.

Everything stays on this device

Your progress — best scores and XP — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking

There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.

No AI writing for you — the craft checks are built in

The iOS app uses AI to help generate stories and worlds. The web version does not send anything to a model or a server: instead, the craft activities (Story Architect, World Keystone, Voice Lab) use clear, built-in rules that run entirely on your device. You do the writing thinking; the app just shows you why a craft move works.

Built for young writers ages 9–14

The 400 Concepts questions cover story structure, character, descriptive writing, dialogue and voice, plot, revision, genre, world-building, point of view, theme, and more — aligned to Common Core ELA writing and language standards. A hint appears only after a first try — you think it through first, and every wrong turn is treated as part of learning.

It teaches — it does not test, grade, or label

TaleForge is practice, not an assessment. It does not score anyone's writing ability and it makes no judgments about a young writer. It supports craft, curiosity, and confidence — that's all.
