How it works
SpeakForge turns speaking and listening into things you do — not just facts to memorize.
- Speech Architect — take the scrambled parts of a talk and put them in the order you'd say them: a hook to grab attention, your point, the evidence that backs it, and a close that lands it. A live meter shows how strong the structure is — and one card is always a tangent to leave out.
- Story Spine — build a story the way storytellers do, with the Story Spine: Once there was… / Every day… / Until one day… / Because of that… / Until finally… / Ever since then… Put the six beats in order and spot the detail that doesn't move the story along — the same structure-building idea as Speech Architect, but for a story's arc.
- Active-Listening Lab — read what someone says, then catch the main idea, recall a detail, or choose the best follow-up question or paraphrase. Every choice comes with a reason, so you learn why one listening move beats another.
- Concept kits — 16 short question rounds, from voice projection and active listening, through group discussion, presentations, persuasion, and media literacy, up to formal debate and public-speaking leadership.
What's not here (and why)
The iPad app has a virtual stage where you record yourself speaking and an on-device coach gives feedback on your delivery. The web version doesn't listen through your microphone — nothing you say is ever recorded, and no audio leaves your device. Instead, it teaches the part of speaking you can practice without a mic: how to build a clear talk and how to listen well. Structure and listening are the thinking behind a great speech; the recording was just the stage.
Every try teaches you something
Put a part in the wrong spot, or miss a listening move? That's data, never a failing. The meter just shows you what to move next, and every answer explains the why. Speaking well is a skill you build by trying — and here, trying again is always free.

Great speakers come from everywhere and sound like everyone. There's no one "right" way to have a voice — a good talk is clear, honest, and built with care, whoever is giving it. SpeakForge is about the craft of being heard and the gift of really listening, never about who is "supposed" to speak.
