Privacy & how it works
NeuralQuest on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design. An app about AI that keeps your data safe should practice what it teaches.
No real AI calls — everything is on your device
The classifier you train and the recommender you investigate all run with simple, transparent rules right here in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, no AI model is called, and no photos, text, or answers ever leave this device.
Your progress stays on this device
Best scores and XP are stored only in this browser (on-device storage). Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.
How it works
In Classifier Trainer, you label examples yourself, then an AI discovers a rule from the numbers in your labels — and shows you the exact rule and why it makes each prediction. When its training data is unbalanced, one group fails; you find the fix (better, more balanced data). In the Recommendation Lab, you predict what a recommender serves next, then uncover filter bubbles, popularity bias, and feedback loops — and how adding some variety keeps discovery open. Or run a Concepts kit — a short round of questions. A hint appears only after a first try, so you think it through first, and mistakes are treated as part of learning.
Built for ages 10–14
The 400 Concepts questions come straight from the NeuralQuest iOS design and cover machine learning, neural networks, recommendation systems, ethics & bias, computer vision, and language AI, aligned to NGSS, ISTE, and CSTA standards. Everything works with the sound off and can be played entirely by keyboard.
