How it works

MangaForge teaches the craft of telling stories in pictures — the way a manga artist thinks about the page, not just how to draw.

• Panel Studio — every panel is a "shot," like a movie. You pick the best shot for each beat — an establishing shot to open a scene, a close-up for feelings, an action shot for motion, a reaction shot to land the moment — and get notes on what each choice does. The biggest panel is the story's most important beat.
• Sequence the Beats — put four scrambled panels in the order that reads as one story, then meet the four-act manga shape: introduce, develop, turn, and conclude.
• Concept kits — 16 short question rounds across drawing characters, composing the page, and telling the story.

Drawing on the web

The app’s freehand drawing and tracing tools use an Apple Pencil, so they stay on the iPad. The web version focuses on the part you can practice anywhere: composition — how panels, shots, and story order work together. It’s the thinking behind every good manga page.

Our privacy promise

MangaForge Play is free, works offline, and collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device — your progress, level, and streak are saved only in this browser.

Mistakes are part of it

You never lose anything for a wrong try. Reworking a page — trying a different shot, reordering the beats — is exactly what real manga artists do. Every check gives you a gentle reason, not just a right-or-wrong.
