ImprovQuest on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.

Everything stays on this device

Your progress — best scores and XP — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.

No microphone, no accounts, no AI partner

The web version does not use your microphone and has no live scene partner. On stage you would speak your lines out loud with real people — here you practice the choices behind a great scene by picking from options, so there is no sign-up, no login, no ads, and no third-party trackers. (The iOS app's live multiplayer shows and voice performance live on the device, not the web.)

How it works

The Scene Studio lets you build a scene one line at a time. Your partner makes an offer; you choose how to answer. A live “Yes-And energy” meter climbs when you accept and build and dips when you block — so you can feel the difference the way real improvisers do. The Move Drill shows you an offer and three replies: the strongest “Yes, and…”, a block (a flat “no”), and a wimp (agreeing but adding nothing) — and tells you why each one works or stalls. Or run a Concepts kit: a short round of questions. A hint appears only after a first try, so you think it through first.

Mistakes are the point

Improv isn't about being funny or clever — the humour comes from the situation, and a wrong turn often leads to the best moment. Nothing here shames a “wrong” answer: every choice explains what it does to the scene, the round always moves forward, and the whole game is about making your partner look good.

Built for ages 10–14

The 400 Concepts questions come straight from the ImprovQuest iOS app and are aligned to National Core Arts Standards for Theatre. Everything works with the sound off and can be played entirely by keyboard. Meet the cast and read their stories at the cast page.
