Privacy & how it works
DecodeForge on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.
Everything stays on this device
Your progress — best scores and XP — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. Clear your browser data and it's gone; nobody else can see it.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.
Built for readers ages 9–14 who need decoding support
DecodeForge follows Structured Literacy — explicit, systematic phonics, syllables, and word-parts, taught in order and building on each other. The words and sentences are chosen to be interesting for older readers, never babyish. The 400 Concepts questions are aligned to CCSS Foundational-Skills (RF) and Language (L) standards. A hint appears only after a first try — you think it through first, and every wrong turn is treated as part of learning.
It teaches — it does not test, diagnose, or label
DecodeForge is practice, not a screener or a diagnosis. It does not decide whether anyone has a reading difficulty, and it makes no medical or "cure" claims. It supports access, engagement, and evidence-based practice — that's all.
