DataForge on the web is built the same way as our iOS apps: private by design.

Everything stays on this device

Your progress — best scores and XP — is stored only in this browser (on-device storage). It is never sent anywhere. The datasets you explore are small, made-up examples bundled with the app; there is no live data and nothing about you is collected.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking

There is no sign-up and no login. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. There are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.

Data is never “neutral”

DataForge teaches that every dataset was collected by someone, for a purpose, with choices about what counts and what got left out. We ask “who collected it? for what? what is missing?” — and we keep correlation separate from causation.

Built for ages 9–14

The 400 questions come straight from the DataForge iOS app and are aligned to GAISE II, CCSS statistics, and CSTA data-analysis standards. A hint appears only after a first try — you think it through first, and mistakes are treated as part of learning.
