About CraftForge Play
What this is
CraftForge is a miniature-painting studio for the web. You mix paints on the artist’s color wheel and watch pigment behave the way real paint does — mixing darkens, and opposite colors make mud. You paint a knight’s shield one technique at a time — basecoat, then a wash for the shadows, a drybrush for the highlights, and a glaze to finish — in the order real painters use. And you can predict a color mix before the reveal, then see why it turned out that way. Sixteen question rounds cover color theory, brush technique, and paint material science.

Meet the painters
CraftForge is guided by Iris and a small cast of painter friends — Sand, Dab, Blend, Coat, and Tip — who each carry one stage of the painting workflow. You can read their stories in the cast library.
